THE FOLLOWING RESPONSIBILITIES ARE AWAITING YOU:
- You ensure quality infrastructure and standards are in place and maintained at global suppliers and distribution partners to meet compliance requirements for product, manufacturing sites and the full distribution chain.
- You will operate as a liaison among the Merz Aesthetics Frankfurt Site, Global Functions and the Global Quality department to assure strategic alignment, global harmonization and compliance by supporting the alignment and definition of processes and procedures.
- You coach and mentor employees to optimum performance, and recruit and interview qualified applicants, ensure appropriate new-hire training and orientation, and provide on-going training and development of Quality Team.
- You provide strategic direction and oversight to Global initiatives to assure continuity of manufacturing and distribution by qualifying new commodities and managing current supply to support capacity increases globally, prevent downtime due to quality related issues, and avoid on market events with safety and reputational impact.
- You make determinations on critical matters such as product safety, quality, compliance and regulatory issues related to suppliers and distribution partners and has direct interface with key management for global manufacturing, logistics, engineering, R&D, commercial operations, and medical.
- You are responsible for the governance of Supplier Excellence programs to engage key supplier’s management in a business review process to monitor metrics, identify trends and implement programs to assure demonstrated performance improvements
- You execute on transformational changes in key quality business processes (electronic qualification process, implementation of process monitoring and controls to supplier data, resource management through enterprise software, etc.)
- You use global supplier and supply chain data sources to identify and implement process improvements in management of the global supply chain.
- You operate to the most current international medical device and medicinal product regulations (i.e. ISO 13485, 21CFR Part 820, EU MDR, etc.). Interface with external agencies as required including local health authorities, the US FDA and the Notified Body.
WHAT WE EXPECT FROM YOU:
- You have an academic degree in life sciences, engineering or related technical discipline.
- You have minimum 10 years of overall experience in Operations, Quality Assurance, or similar experience in R&D in Medical Device or Pharmaceutical Industry with at least 5 years in Quality.
- You are fluent in English, other EMEA languages are an advantage.
- You have a a broad understanding of Medical Device quality principles as well as the technical aspects of product / package / process, design, compliance, and manufacture across a wide range of product types.
- You demonstrate strong organizational skills including ability to prioritize tasks and adhere to agreed timelines.
- You have the ability to host, facilitate and execute audits with internal and external audiences.
- You have excellent project management skills and knowledge of performance managing methods.

- You have the ability to work effectively in a global, matrix environment.
